The snow saussurea is one of saussurea involucrate, saussurea medusa and saussurea obvallata; the snow saussurea extract is one of saussurea involucrate extract, saussurea medusa extract and saussurea obvallata extract; and the snow saussurea extract is aqueous extract or ethanol extract of the snow saussurea and anti-hypoxia active ingredients extracted from the snow saussurea by a system solvent method and a macroporous adsorptive resin method. Tests find and prove that the anti-hypoxia medicaments prepared by the snow saussurea and the snow saussurea extract have obvious anti-hypoxia effect; moreover, the preparation method is simple, and the active ingredients of the snow saussurea can be effectively extracted.
