Effect of RE on Wetting and Mechanical Properties of SnAgCu Lead-free Solder

A new type of lead-free solder alloy Sn2.5Ag0.7CuxRE was fabricated under vacuum condition,and its wetting properties and mechanical properties were investigated.The results show that the Sn2.5Ag0.7CuxRE has bigger spreading area and smaller wetting angle when RE content is 0.1wt%,the tensile strength and elongation also improves markedly,which can meet the need of the connection in microeldctronics industry.
