The invention discloses electronic equipment and a control method thereof. Applications of the electronic equipment use a first communication channel or a second communication channel of the electronic equipment for communication. The method comprises the steps of comparing priority of a first application with priority of a second application when a first switching order is acquired and switching is not performed between the first communication channel and the second communication channel currently; and stopping responding to the first switching order when the priority of the second application is superior to the priority of the first application. Through adoption of the electronic equipment and the control method, service failure caused by data main card switch can be prevented.
