New clamp-type pressure cell with an optical aperture allowing ruby fluorescence measurement for pressure determination

Abstract To improve the technology of pressure cells available at the Institut Laue-Langevin ILL, a new clamp has been designed to allow ruby fluorescence measurement for pressure determination. Both the principle of this new clamp and the geometry used for ruby fluorescence monitoring are depicted. Preliminary results showing the efficiency of this new pressure device are presented.
