Method for highly efficiently producing heterologous protein

Provided is a method which comprises developing a high-expression promoter of Pseudozyma antarctica , constructing a heterologous protein production system with the use of the obtained high-expression promoter, and then efficiently producing an enzyme using a strain belonging to the order Ustilaginales including a yeast of the genus Pseudozyma . The heterologous protein production method according to the present invention comprises: a step for culturing host cells, which have been transformed with an expression vector that contains a base sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:1 or SEQ ID NO:7 and a base sequence, said base sequence encoding a heterologous protein, functionally bound thereto, under such conditions as allowing the expression of the heterologous protein; and a step for harvesting the heterologous protein from a liquid culture medium.
