Clinical and ultrasound features of non‐gestational ovarian choriocarcinoma

2018
A 27-year-old woman with a previous right oophorectomy for dysgerminoma diagnosed 9 years earlier, was referred to our center after the incidental finding of a left ovarian mass and increased s-hCG levels (22.000 IU/mL). At ultrasound examination, a solid lesion of 34x23x38 mm in size, was detected in the left ovary and it appeared as a mass with an inhomogeneous echotexture, irregular contour and no stripy echogenicity (Figure 1a, Suppl 1). An ovarian crescent sign was clearly visualized at the lateral part of the left mass.
