New Genus and Species of Chirotheroid Tracks in the Detfurth-Formation (Middle Bunter, Lower Triassic) of Central Germany

Archosaur tracks are described that have been found in 1999 in a single track bed in the Dethfurth-Formation of the Middle Bunter (Lower Triassic) near Wolfhagen (Central Germany). The taxonomic evaluation of these tracks requires the erection of the new genus and species Protochirotherium wolfhagense ichnogen. n. ichosp. n. Apart from this a rearrangement of groups of chirotheroid tracks is proposed due to the digital proportions.
