The invention provides a portable electronic device and an optical imaging lens. The optical imaging lens sequentially comprises a first lens, a second lens, a third lens, a fourth lens and a fifth lens from an objective lens to an image lens, wherein the second lens has a positive refractive index, and an image side face of the second lens is provided with a convex face portion located in an area nearby a circumference; an image side face of the third lens is provided with a convex face portion located in an area nearby an optical axis; an objective side face of the fourth lens is provided with a concave face portion located in an area nearby the circumference, and an image side face of the fourth lens is a convex face; and the fifth lens is made of plastic. The portable electronic device comprises a casing and an image module installed in the casing, wherein the image module comprises the optical imaging lens, a lens cone, a module rear base unit and an image sensor. By means of the fact that features of concave-convex curved surface arrangement and/or the refractive indexes of all the lenses are controlled, the length of the lens is shortened under the condition of maintaining excellent optical performance.
