Crystallization Behavior of(Zr_(0.67)Ni_(0.33))_(100-x)Pd_x(x=0,5,10,20) Amorphous Alloys

Amorphous ribbons of(Zr_(0.67)Ni_(0.33))_(100-x)Pd_x(x=0、5、10、20) alloys were prepared by single roll melt spinning.The crystallization of the amorphous were investigated by X-ray diffraction(XRD),differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and high resolution electron microscopy(HREM).Results show that the addition of Pd makes the crystallization transformation from one reaction to two reactions.During annealing the ribbons with 5%at Pd,Zr_2Ni crystallizes first,and then the residual amorphous matrix transforms into Zr_2Pd.For the alloy with 10%at Pd,the primary reaction leads to Zr_2Ni plus a little Zr_2Pd.When the Pd concentration increases up to 20%at,only Zr_2Pd is detected after the first reaction.
