Research on the Realization of Open-ended Monitoring Algorithms for Meteorological Observation Equipments

Aiming at the requirements of ground observation automation and the characteristics with the difficulty to modification, single data sources and without considering the regional demands for operational monitoring algorithms of meteorological equipments in current integrated meteorological observation operational and monitoring system, the implementation mechanism for open personalized monitoring algorithms was studied. An open fault identification system for observation equipments was developed based on the integrated meteorological observation operational and monitoring system, then the processing interval, processing logic and processing results for each diagnostic algorithm can be realized by using web pages, so the processing engines for equipment fault diagnosis were formed and user-defined monitoring algorithms can be carried out for different regions, devices and time segments according to local characteristics and user’s experiences. Especially, the configuration rules and the logic relations of the algorithms were deduced, as well the description of alarm content was specified, even the general pages for the new developed algorithms were set, such as the names of the monitoring algorithms, the data types, the types of equipment, the working time of the algorithms, the alarm frequency, and the alarm level. Furthermore, querying and dynamically displaying alarm information were realized, and alarms can be automatically pushed to the maintenance personnel by short messages, either connecting with WeChat, so as to improve the timeliness and effectiveness of fault identification and the automatic alarm level of monitoring information. The quality control algorithm of multi-factor aerosol mass-concentration for the aerosol observation stations was described and implemented on a WEB page. The results also can take a rule to the evaluation work, in this way, the service availability can be evaluated. Monitoring algorithms can be constantly improved and have strong vitality because of the openness of the algorithms library, which is a beneficial supplement to the traditional monitoring algorithms. Thus, the observation facility’ operation supporting ability can be continuously improved.
