Control Strategy for PMSM with Angle β Closed-loop Control

The performance of electric vehicles(EV) control system is affected by the parameters of the interior permanent magnet synchronous motor(IPMSM) and the output voltage and current limits of the controller.In order to improve the system robustness to the parameters and the maximum torque per ampere(MTPA) of the controller,a method with angle β closed-loop control was proposed to automatically track the maximum torque.On the basis of mathematical model of permanent magnet synchronous motor,electromagnetic torque equation was calculated by the variables of stator voltage and current on the synchronous dq axis,and a torque control angle β closed-loop control system for automatically tracking the maximum torque was established,which disengaged from the dependence on the parameters of the IPMSM.Simulation and experimental results demonstrate that the control strategy is feasible and effective.
