Distribution of soil microbe on hill slope scale on the hilly area of the Loess Plateau

2009
In order to understand how soil microbe distribute on the hillslope under erosion environment in the hilly area of the Loess Plateau,we measured soil microbial biomass C,microbial biomass N,community-level sole carbon source utilization and analysis soil microbial catabolic activity and functional diversity of summit, shoulder, backslope, footslope and toeslope. The results of this research were that the content of soil microbial biomass was lower on shoulder, soil microbial biomass C was higher on backslope and footslope, soil microbial biomass N was higher on summit and backslope. In 0-10 cm,soil microbial catabolic activity was different with soil microbial biomass,it was higher on shouder and backslope and correlated with soil microbial functional;in 10-20 cm,the difference of microbial functional diversity among different slope position was not significant and soil microbial catabolic activity has some similar with soil microbial biomass and it was higher on footslope and backslope. For the utilization of different pattern carbon source, the carbohydrate utilization was higher in 0-10 cm soil and aminophenol utilization was higher in 10-20 cm soil.
