Ticks and tick-borne diseases in canines - a prevalence study.

The study highlighted the overall prevalence of ticks in dogs as 6.23%. Tick infestation was significantly associated with seasons, age and sex. One fourth of ticks infested dogs were affected by tick borne pathogen with Ehrlichiosis being highest. Standard therapy along with supportives was effective.
