Multiple Indicator Kriging of Precious Metals at Silbak Premier Mine, British Columbia

1994
Diamond drill data obtained prior to the present production phase form the main basis of this mineral inventory study of the Silbak Premier deposit, with emphasis on post1980 data; limited use of blastnole assays from open pit operations during 1990-91 was essential to our structural analysis. Within a mineralized zone the downhole grade distribution is highly erratic in that single high assays can be contiguous with low grade assays. Thus, a high nugget effect is to be expected. Multiple indicator kriging was selected to take into account the presence of multiple populations for both gold and silver.
