Dermatoscopic and ultra-high frequency ultrasound evaluation in cutaneous post-radiation angiosarcoma.

2020
: Cutaneous angiosarcoma (cAS) is a rare malignant aggressive vascular tumor and includes three variants: cAS affecting the head and neck (Wilson-Jones type), post-radiation cAS, and cAS associated with chronic lymphoedema (Stewart-Treves syndrome). The diagnosis is often delayed, because cAS is frequently clinically misdiagnosed as hematoma, rosacea, cellulitis or eczema. The diagnosis of cAS may be difficult also for the pathologists and the tumor may be misdiagnosed as a benign vascular lesion.
