Analysis of a New Hybrid Sturdy MASH-11 Delta-Sigma Modulator
2019
This paper presents a new two-stage hybrid sturdy MASH (SMASH) delta-sigma modulator (DSM) called HSMASH-11 DSM that can theoretically regains the 3 dB signal-to-noise and distortion ratio (SNDR) loss that a SMASH-11 DSM loses to a conventional MASH-11 DSM. In addition, the HSMASH-11 DSM still retains the insensitivity to the opamp gain that a SMASH-11 possesses. The HSMASH-11 DSM employs both inverting and non-inverting integrators in its structure. Mathematical and simulation results validate the efficiency of the proposed HSMASH-11 DSM.
