Clinical Observation and Surgical Treatment of Cholelithiasis in the Elderly of 93 Patients

Objective: To explore the clinical manifestation,the measurement of preoperative period,the time for surgical operation and choices of modus operandi of cholelithiasis in the elderly.Method: Collecting and analyzing all clinical data of 93 elderly patients of cholelithiasis treated in our department from Sep.2008 to May 2011.Result: Among all 93 patients,79 were cured(84.9%),13 improved(14.0%) and 1 died(1.1%).60 of 93 cases received cholecystectomy,14 underwent cholecystectomy plus common bile duct exploration surgery,5 received common bile duct exploration surgery,4 biliary-enteric anastomosis and 3 were given gallbladder fistulation.Conclusion: Accurate assessment of surgical operation and choices of modus operandi of cholelithiasis in the elderly were needed,and surgical treatment should be taken unless there existed serious contraindication.
