X-ray Clinical Diagnosis of Scalp Hematoma in Neonates

Objective To explore the diagnostic value of X-ray and clinical features for scalp hematoma in neonates. Methods X-ray manifestations of 65 cases with scalp hematoma in neonates were retrospectively analyzed. Results With the increasing of the age of scalp hematoma in neonate,there were different X-ray findings,such as non-ossification,incomplete ossification and integrated ossification.The ossifications were connected with outer plate of cranium with wide-basement or acute angle,and there were no scalp hematoma to span cranial sutures. Conclusion There are characteristic X-ray manifestations and impotant significance to diagnosis,treatment and prognosis with X-ray examination for scalp hematoma in neonates.
