Bacterial cell wall skeleton preparations

Novel bacterial cell wall skeleton preparations, and provides analytical methods for cell wall skeleton component of bacteria. A paste consisting of a bacterial cell wall skeleton component (bacteria -cws) and oil, bacterial -cws containing paste having a viscosity of 0.2~0.7poise (25 ℃), an emulsion containing the paste, and the lyophilized formulation it has become possible to provide. Further, by analyzing the higher fatty acid or a derivative thereof contained in the bacterial cell wall skeleton component, a pharmaceutical composition containing a cell wall skeleton component of bacterial as an active ingredient and to assess the quality of their production intermediates, and assayed for potency , it becomes possible to identify the active ingredient.
