Doğal Enfekte Nematotlu Kilis Keçilerinde Eritrosit SOD, CAT, GPx Enzim Aktiviteleri ve MDA Düzeyi

2012
This article aims to determine the changes in erythrocyte Superoxide dismutase (SOD), Catalase (CAT), Glutathione peroxidase (GPx) activities and Malondialdehyde (MDA) levels of nematode-infected goats before and after treatment of ricobendazol. The study was conducted in 16 Kilis goats. To treat animals, the injectable form of ricobendazole (Rizal, Sanovel, 3.75 mg / kg) was applied. On the 5th day of treatment all goats were treated. Before and 5th day of treatment, blood samples of infected-goats were taken from V. Jugularis and collected into heparinized tubes. To determined SOD, CAT, GPx activities and MDA levels in Erythrocyte spectrophotometric analysis were performed. On the fifth day of treatment there was an increase in SOD activity (368.33 ± 33.29 to 416.62 ± 29), a reduction in CAT (94.34 ± 6.76 to 79.51 ± 6.07), GPx activity (4088.20 ± 516.93 to 3299 ± 446.82) and MDA levels (3.03 ± 0.31 to 2.56 ± 0.37). However, these changes were not statistically significant.
