Time-reversal breaking in fractional differential problems

A Cauchy-type integral formula is used to obtain the value of a fractional derivative of a power function at the negative real axis. This new result highlights the lack of time-reversal symmetry of a fractional differential operator of noninteger order in Newtonian mechanics.
