Image collecting device and method

The invention discloses an image collecting device and method. The image collecting device comprises a lens assembly, a light splitting device, a first image sensor and a second image sensor. The lens assembly is composed of at least one lens and used for transmitting an incident beam. The light splitting device is used for enabling light with a first wave length and light with a second wave length of the incident beam which passes through the lens assembly to be separated, and a first light beam and a second light beam are output respectively. The first image sensor is used for converting the first light beam into a first image. The second image sensor is used for converting the second light beam into a second image. The image collecting device is applied to electronic equipment which comprises at least one application program and an image collecting device. The image collecting method comprises the steps that the incident beam transmitted by the lens assembly is acquired; the light splitting device is used for separating the light with the first wave length from the light with the second wave length in the incident beam, and the first light beam and the second light beam are respectively output; the first light beam is converted into the first image; the second light beam is converted into the second image.
