Publisher Summary This chapter discusses novel mesoporous carbon as a catalyst support for platinum (Pt) and palladium (Pd) for liquid-phase hydrogenation reactions. Pt and Pd supported on a novel mesoporous carbon with regular pore diameter of 3 nm is prepared, which shows significant improvement in liquid-phase hydrogenation reactions.
