Experimental study of measuring water vapor content in chemical oxygen iodine laser by absorption spectroscopy

2005
The method to measure water vapor absolute concentration is introduced. The absorption coefficient of water vapor in experimental condition is calibrated and the water vapor fraction in COIL is measured by absorption spectroscopy. Measurement results show that the change of water vapor fraction due to the basic hydrogen peroxide(BHP) temperature may be ignored during the normal operation. It is indicated that the gas flow velocityis the main reasonthat affects the water vapor fractionin COIL.
