A passage (7) extends between the two profiles, the length side of which forms the passage entrance (8) on the outside (5) of the frame member (1), whilst the other length side forms the passage exit (9) on the inside (6) of the frame member, to allow ventilation air to pass through the frame. Preferred Features: A window frame member comprises two extruded profiles (2, 3), the second of which defines the window opening (4) and is located between this opening and the first profile (2) secured to the wall. A passage extends between the two profiles, the length side of which forms the passage entrance on the outside of the frame member, whilst the other length side forms the passage exit on the inside of the frame member, to allow ventilation air to pass through the frame.
