Poorly differentiated Sarcoma (Ewing's Sarcoma) of radius presenting as massive Osteolysis simulating Vanishing bone.

2001
Ewing's Sarcoma originating is long bones characteristically involve the diaphysis, with extension toward the metaphases. A lytic of mixed lytic sclerotic destructive lesion is commonly identified in the bone. Parallel, lamellated periosteal new bone formation (onion formation) or, less frequently, radiating bone spicules may be present. Majority of the cases have associated extensive soft tissue mass. Complete vanishing of bone is unusual. Such presentation can produce local deformity and instability; the situation in which, presumably bone is completely replaced by tumour fibro-vascular tissue. We report two cases of Ewing's sarcoma of the radius with complete disappearance of bone radiographically.
