Compositeness at LEP II
1987
The purpose of this report is an investigation of the potential of LEP II to unravel possible substructure of leptons, quarks, and perhaps, of the W )pluse))minus) and Z vector bosons. The main aspects are inclusion of initial-state polarization as an analysing tool; a thorough investigation of e/sup +/e/sup -/ yield W/sup +/W/sup -/, more precisely of compositeness-motivated deviations from the Standard Model; an exploration of the potential of LEP II to either confirm or seriously corner the concept of 'nearby' compositeness. Effort was also invested in realistic error analyses and background estimates. 47 refs., 33 figs., 3 tabs
