PV Based Multi Output Boost Converter Fed AC-DC hybrid Distribution System for Residential/Industrial Application

2020
This paper presents the concept of multi output Boost converter topology for various applications. The advantage of using this converter is to reduce the components which in turn reduces size, complexity, conversion losses and overall cost. A control strategy has been implemented to extract maximum power from the PV panel. Harmonic compensation has also been carried out for the inverters connected to different outputs. A comparison has been carried out using both Selective Harmonic Elimination Pulse Width Modulation (SHEPWM) and Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) for the inverters. A set of transcendental equations is used to compute angles through metaheuristic techniques to be fed in SHEPWM inverters that helps in harmonic compensation before feeding it to the load. Apart from this, THD and efficiency calculation has been done to provide justification to the work. This paper contributes various usage of these type of converters in industrial and domestic purpose layout for serving different kinds of (ac/dc) loads. It has been verified by using MATLAB 2016b Simulink.
