Comparison of the acute toxicity of Ginkgo biloba extracts and Rose roxburghii in mice

Objective To investigate acute toxicity of compound ginkgo biloba and evaluate its safety. Methods The acute toxicity was observed in 14 days after single dose of ig Ginkgo biloba extracts and Rosa Roxburghii Tratt in various proportions in mice,determine the contents of ginkgolic acids in control preparation of ginkgo acids and Rose roxburghii of different proportion.Results The compound ginkgo biloha of Ginkgo bi- lobs extracts and Rosa roxburghii tratt in proportions of 1:2 has the minimal toxicity.And the contents of ginkgolic acids changed with the variations of rose roxburghii tratt,it reach the loweast when the proporation was 1:1.Conclusion The mixture of Ginkgo biloba extracts and Rosa roxburghii trait in certain proportions could increase the preparation's safety.
