Postoperative analgesia by PCIA and PCEA and change of plasma prolactin content after cesarean section

2001
Aim:To observe the effects of postoperative analgesia by PCIA and PCEA and change of plasma prolactin(PRL) content after cesarean section. Methods: A total of 36 pregnant women undergoing cesarean section were randomly divided into PCIA group ( n=12), PCEA group( n=12 ) and control group( n=12) .The dosage of fentanyl in PCIA group and PCEA group was 15~20 μg/h and 8~9 μg/h respectively, the analgesia solution in PCEA group contained 1.25 g/L bupivacaine. The analgesia time of the 2 groups were both 48 h ,and there was no analgesia solution in control group. The analgesia effects of the 2 groups were evaluated by VAS method and the content of PRL was measured by RIA.Results :There was no significant difference between the 2 groups in VAS after analgesia( P0.05) ,the content of PRL in PCEA group was significantly higher than those in PCIA group and control group at 24 h and 48 h after operation( P0.05 ),the colostrum time of PCEA group was earlier than that of PCIA group, and the colostrum time of PCIA group was earlier than that of control group( P0.05 ).Conclusion: Two analgesia methods are both safe and effective and the colostrum time of PCEA group is moved up.
