On the carbon 1s photoelectron spectrum of cellulose
1993
Crystallinity values of cellulose samples having a range of crystallinity have been determined by X-ray diffraction. Carbon 1s photoelectron spectra of these samples have been deconvoluted and the contributions arising out of different oxygen functionalities have been separated. The results obtained show a regular increase in extraneous hydrocarbon contaminant concentrations with the decrease in crystallinity fractions present in the specimens
