Phytochemical investigation and Antibacterial activity of Mangifera indica L. Var. Rasapuri Root extracts

The research work was conducted to investigate the antibacterial activity of pet ether, ethyl acetate and ethanol extracts of Mangifera indica L. var. Rasapuri root crude extract (Family-Anacardiaceae). The cup plate technique was used for antibacterial activity. Zones of inhibition were observed for antibacterial investigation against Gram -positive and Gram negative bacteria. With higher doses, the effect Zones of inhibition were comparable with that of sta ndard namely Amoxicillin. Phytochemical investigations were also carried out on all extracts.
