Sustaining Global Competitiveness – The Krishna Model

2014
In the era of globalization, the issue of Global competitiveness has become central to the strategy & operations in the business world. The growth path in the business no more revolves around the local concerns, but is more dependent on how one competes in the global market place. Today Indian industries are facing many challenges. Besides high recession at home, they have to face high muscled MNC’s, resulting in un-sustainability. These further results in wealth drain leading to ever – increasing spiral of poverty for the nation. Some of the Indian industries have tried to overcome these obstacles but they couldn’t succeed, except in IT field. On analysis, it is found that flaw lies in the approach itself. Remedy isn’t in adopting the western methods for overcoming challenges posed by the west but lies in reinventing the Indian values for industrial competitiveness. The authors have proposed “The Krishna model for Competitiveness” where winning is not by overpowering obstacles, but by going beyond the obstacles. The model particularly emphasizes on the integrated competitive strategy of working in harmony with culture and ethics, by which Indian Industries can become globally competitive & not only survive, but bring wealth & prosperity for the nation.
