This paper describes the growing trend in which higher education institutions around the world, both public and private, are incorporating social responsibility into their institutional missions. The study aims to identify the different categories, approaches and strategies in social responsibility currently underway in the sector from a theoretical research across a 10-year period. This review with secondary sources utilized the systematic review methodology based on the prisma method.
