Transformation of magnetic domain structure in Co- and Fe-rich amorphous microwires
2014
Abstract We report the results of a magneto-optical Kerr effect (MOKE) study of the formation and transformation of the surface domain structure in a series of Co- and Fe-rich microwires. The microwires, with a metallic nucleus diameter of 100 μm and glass coating thickness of 20 μm, were studied by highly sensitive MOKE microscopy in the longitudinal geometry. A wide variety of types of surface domain structures was found in two types of microwires examined.
