The invention relates to light foam ceramic tiles and manufacturing process thereof and belongs to the field of building materials. The light ceramic tiles provided by the invention comprise the following components in percentage by weight: 5 to 15 percent of expansion glass microspheres, 30 to 50 percent of clay, 5 to 20 percent of zeolite, 0 to 15 percent of kieselguhr, 10 to 30 percent of feldspar and 5 to 15 percent of quartz. The manufacturing process comprises: mixing the clay, the zeolite, the kieselguhr, the feldspar and the quartz, grinding the mixture by using a ball mill, and drying the ground mixture till the moisture content of the ground mixture is 10 to 20 weight percent to obtain 80-mess sieve powder mixture; adding the expansion glass microspheres, performing uniform mixing to obtain a blended material and pressing the blended material to make light green tiles; and drying the green tiles and burning the green tiles to obtain he light ceramic tiles. The light ceramic tiles are suitable for large scale industrial production.
