The present invention relates to a method for pre-lithiating a silicon oxide anode for a secondary battery and, more specifically, to a method for pre-lithiating a silicon oxide anode, which, before a step of assembling a lithium secondary battery, immerses a silicon oxide anode in an electrolyte, and after the same becomes wet, brings a lithium metal into direct contact with the silicon oxide anode while applying pressure to the silicon oxide anode. The silicon oxide anode for the secondary battery, which has undergone the pre-lithiating step provided by the present invention has improved irreversibility, and the secondary battery produced by using the silicon oxide anode for the secondary battery has excellent charging and discharging efficiency.
