Restoration of immune status by interleukin 2
1988
: Beyond a donor age (a) of 22 years, the DNA incision ability in human peripheral lymphocytes was found to decrease according to 1/a2.5. Other lymphocyte functions linked to the differentiation program may follow this age-dependency. First results show that interleukin-2 is able to compensate, at least partly, the age-dependent deficiency of immune response.
