Magnetic properties of the pyrite type FexCo1−x−yNiyS2 system

Abstract The magnetic phase diagram of the Fe x Co 1− x − y Ni y S 2 system was determined. Ferromagnetic (F)-, antiferromagnetic (AF )- and paramagnetic (P) phases were found. In the triangular diagram, the F-phase appears along the CoS 2 -FeS 2 line, the AF-phase around NiS 2 and the P-phase between the F- and AF-phases. Discussions are given on the F-phase.
