Effect of BBSZ-dopant on the magnetic properties of Li-Zn ferrite for X-band phase shifter

Using H3BO3-Bi2O3-SiO2-ZnO(BBSZ) glass as dopant, Li-Zn ferrite was successfully prepared at sintering temperature 900℃. The microstructure and the magnetic properties including Ms, Hc and Br/Bm of Li-Zn ferrite were discussed. The result shows that BBSZ-dopant can reduce the sintering temperature significantly. As the amount of BBSZ increases, the saturation magnetization Ms increases first and then decreases slightly, and the coercivity Hc decreases significantly and then increases slightly. The best property was achieved for 1.5wt% BBSZ-dopant.
