Set up of a nuclear radiation experiment with superconducting tunnel junctions in a compact3He cryostat

Abstract The development of an experimental set-up for radiation detection atT = 0.4 K by Nb-based Superconducting Tunnel junctions is presented. Preliminary results concerning detectors characterization and 6 keV X ray detection are shown and discussed.
