Intelligent Monitoring Technology for Fiber Reinforced Polymer Composites Based on Fiber Bragg Grating

The fiber reinforced polymer/plastic (FRP) is a high-performance new material which is mixed in a certain proportion by the fiber and the base material and is integrated by a certain process. Such material has the advantages of lightweight, high-strength, corrosion resistance, good fatigue resistance, large damping, and low coefficient of thermal expansion, good molding processability and convenient construction (Wang in J Sanming Univ 24(04):361–363+369, 2007).
