High-pressure discharge lamp apparatus

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-pressure discharge lamp device suppressing the excessive heat quantity to a lighting circuit arranged on the back face side of a reflector and capable of being miniaturized. SOLUTION: This high-pressure discharge lamp device is provided with a high-pressure discharge lamp 1, having a translucent airtight container containing seal sections formed at least at one end, electrodes supported on the seal sections and arranged inside and a discharge medium sealed inside and external leads electrically connected to the electrodes at one end and guided to the outside from the end sections of the seal sections at the other end, a reflector 2 formed with reflecting films mainly reflecting visible light and infrared rays on an opening section, a curved surface section, a bottom section and the back face side and arranged to optically face the high-pressure discharge lamp 1, a cover body 3 covering the opening section of the reflector 2, a lighting circuit 4 arranged on the back face side of the reflector 2 to light the high-pressure discharge lamp 1, and a case 5 storing the high-pressure discharge lamp 1, the reflector 2 and the lighting circuit 4.
