Diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary infection after kidney transplantation

Objective To investigate the characteristics of pulmonary infection in patients after kidney transplantation and to explore the effective methods of diagnosis and treatment. Methods Retrospective analysis the clinical data of 49 patients with pulmonary infection after kidney transplantation from January 2012 to February 2016 in our hospital. Results In forty-nine cases of pulmonary infection after renal transplantation, there were 22 cases of bacterial infection, 18 cases of fungal infection, 7 cases of virus infection, 1 case of mycoplasma infection, and 1 case of chlamydia infection. Among the 49 cases, 31 cases of pulmonary infection occurred in half a year. 28 cases were mixed infection. Finally, 46 cases rehabilitation discharge, 3 cases died due to severe pulmonary infection. Conclusions Pulmonary infection rate and mortality is high after kidney transplantation. Before clear infection pathogens, enough broad spectrum antibiotics combined with other medication should be used in time. Key words: Kidney transplantation; Pulmonary infection; Treatment
