El horror multiplicado: una isotopía en tres relatos de Lovecraft («Las ratas de las paredes», «La casa evitada» y «El modelo de Pickman»)

A los elementos de texto que se disponen y se estructuran en trayectos semanticos, como la ambientacion y el imaginario del autor. El analisis de la isotopia de lo multiple en los tres relatos elegidos, «Las ratas de las paredes», «La casa evitada» y «El modelo de Pickman». Lovecraftiano, y sirve de aproximacion a las estructuras textuales que brindaron a suscitar el horror cosmico. EnglishLovecraft’s most salient aim in his narrative is to arouse fear in his readers towards the unknown, man’s most primitive emotion. Textual elements, such as the setting and the author’s imaginary, ordered and structured into semantic paths, contribute to this end. The analysis of the isotopy of the multiple in the three stories selected —"The Rats in the Wall", "The Shunned House", and "Pickman’s Model"— shows the significantcontribution of this thematic path both to the settings and the nightmarish forms found in the Lovecraftian imaginary. This study also allows an approach to those textual structures from which cosmic horror arises.
