Secondary diabetes is a form of chronic hyperglycemia induced by certain known diseases.The etiologies of primary diseases are complicated and the hyperglycemia is always not noted.In this article,the characteristics of major primary diseases,hyperglycemia and the treatment methods are discussed.The principles of blood glucose management in various senarios are summarized.Both primary diseases and diabetic complications should be considered for making treatment strategies.The integrated blood glucose management objectives include personalized medication and reasonable goal for glucose control.
