Nickel ferrite film formation method of the carbon steel member

2009
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming nickel ferrite film onto carbon steel member by which a period of time required for forming a nickel ferrite film can be further shortened. SOLUTION: The method of forming nickel ferrite film to carbon steel member comprises: a process (S1) of connecting a film forming device to a water-feed piping made of carbon steel of BWR plant; a process (S4) of injecting chemicals containing nickel ion and formic acid into an aqueous film forming solution heated to a temperature in the range of 60 to 100°C, whereby the aqueous film forming solution is supplied to the water-feed piping and a nickel metal film is formed on the inner surface of the water-feed piping; processes (S5 to S7) of injecting chemicals containing iron(II) ion and formic acid, hydrogen peroxide and hydrazine into an aqueous film forming solution containing nickel ion and formic acid, whereby an aqueous film forming solution containing iron(II) ion, hydrogen peroxide, hydrazine, nickel ion and formic acid is supplied to the water-feed piping and a nickel ferrite film is formed on the surface of the nickel metal film in the water-feed piping.
