Taylor reaction device

2014
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Taylor reaction device capable of acquiring desired particle diameter and particle size distribution.SOLUTION: A Taylor reaction device comprises an outer cylinder 1 and an inner cylinder 2 rotating in the outer cylinder 1, in which a gap space 10 formed between the outer cylinder 1 and the inner cylinder 2 is a Taylor swirl generation area, a supply port 3 for supplying a before-reaction solution to the gap space 10 from outside, is provided on one end of the outer cylinder 1 in a longitudinal direction, and a discharge port 4 for discharging an after-reaction solution to outside from the gap space 10 is provided on the other end of the longitudinal direction. The gap space 10 has a shield plate 6 for suppressing floating between Taylor swirls, the shield plate 6 is disposed near the discharge port 4, relative to an intermediate position of the supply port 3 and the discharge port 4. The shield plate 6 can reduce a contact area between the Taylor swirls, so that, solution diffusion between the Taylor swirls can be suppressed, and a ratio of particles which flow out while residence time is short, can be reduced. So that, particles having desired particle diameter, and particles having smaller particle diameter distribution, can be acquired.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
