Structural characterization and synthesis of 7‐thia‐1,5‐diazatricyclo[7.4.1.05,14]tetradec‐9(14)‐ene‐6,8‐dithione

The two crystallographically independent tricyclic molecules are found to be in an almost identical conformation. The terminal C S bond distance has a mean value of 1.677 (2)A for the two independent molecules; the mean ring C S bond length is 1.739 (2)A. There is a short non-bonded intramolecular contact between the terminal and the ring S atoms [mean 2.862 A]. © 1986 International Union of Crystallography
