Ti and V co-doped P2-Na0.59Co0.10Mn0.90O2 cathode with excellent sodium storage performance

2021
Abstract P2-Na0.59Co0.10Mn0.85(Ti2V)0.05O2 oxide was prepared by Ti, V co-doping technique using solid-phase method. The oxide exhibits the maximum discharge capacity of 164.45 mAh g-1 at 0.1 C and 74.23% capacity retention at 5 C after 1000 cycles. The cathode undergoes reversible P2–P3–P2 phase transition during the charge/discharge. The excellent electrochemical performance of the oxide is attributed to the improvement of the structure stability and the broadening of the ion diffusion channel. It is suggested the co-doping strategy has the potential prospect for the cathode materials of sodium ion battery.
